Rose Hip Oil and Wound Healing
In December 1988 two doctors revealed their findings in a document titled Contributions to Identification and Application of Active Components Contained in Rosa Aff. Rubiginosa. The writers were Dr Bertha Pareja, Principal Professor, Faculty of Pharmacology and Biochemistry, University of San Marcos, Lima, Peru and Dr Horst KehI, from the School of Pharmacology of the University of Missouri, Kansas City, Missouri, USA. Dr KehI took part in the study in his capacity of Visiting Professor at the San Marcos University.
The beneficial effect of Rose Hip Oil in helping to regenerate damaged skin tissues was originally linked to its high content of unsaturated essential fatty acids, specially oleic (15-20%), linoleic (44-50%) and linolenic (30-35%). They are called "essential" because our body is not able to synthesize them.
Although these acids are vital to maintain a healthy skin (when taken internally), for they are part of the cell's membrane and promoters of prostaglandine/leucotriens (their action is hormone-like), giving tissue-regenerating and rejuvenating actions, their presence did not produce enough scientific evidence to explain the abilities of "Rosa Mosqueta" in minimizing surgical and accidental skin scars or to erase certain hyperpigmented spots and reduce wrinkles.
Dr. Berta Pareja and Dr. Horst Kehl, positively recognized the participation of Trans-Retinoic acid as the component responsible for the remarkable pharmacological abilities of Rose Hip Oil. Trans-Retinoic acid is a by-product of Retinol (Vitamin A) and is known as Tretinoin.
The therapeutic actions of the topical use of Tretinoin, in the treatment of several dermatology disorders, have been well-studied and recognized for nearly 30 years. The most significant results have been reached in the therapy of photo-aged skin - skin injured by excessive exposure to sunlight. Tretinoin can produce quick and beneficial changes in the skin, but because it is a highly strong substance, it must be applied under medical supervision.
Rose Hip Oil produces the benefits of Tretinoin, but without secondary consequences, because the Trans-Retinoic Acid contained in it is in a natural state as part of an intricate chain of unsaturated fatty acids. Therefore, its effect is regulated and slowly released by nature, eliminating the risk of overdoses.
The findings of Dr. Pareja and Dr. Kehl have aided to avail Rose Hip Oil in the market, boosting the promotion of this great product.
Scars are a perpetual visible reminder of a significant event in a individual's life and can be a memento of an unhappy or bad event. Though there are several different techniques to minimize the visibility of scar tissues, including cosmetic surgery, pressure garments the application of locally injected steroids and silicone gel sheets, Rose Hip Oil offers a simple, inexpensive, non-invasive alternative for highly diminishing disfiguring scars.
Scars become softer and less prominent with regular daily use; scars, pits and blemishes (even such acne scars). The area of scar treatment is one where Rose Hip Oil has yielded immense success.
BIOSKINBALM is a natural treatment that contains rose hip oil to treat old scars. Get rid of acne scars, skin discolorations and dry skin thanks to a new skin care cream elaborated with biological ingredients that rejuvenate your skin.
