How to Avoid Cellulite

by Lisel Torgerson

Cellulite is a familiar word to most. It is used to identify pockets of fat trapped under your skin that produce a dimple effect. It is usually irregular and wide-spread and is commonly identified with orange peel.

This condition is mostly seen in women. In effect, more than 89% of all women will develop cellulite sometime during their life. The areas that are most affected are thighs, buttocks, and the abdomen. These are the most common areas for a woman to develop cellulite. Although this condition is often mistaken for obesity, it has no direct relation with being over-weight.

Where does cellulite hide?

There are 3 specific layers of fat underneath the dermis and epidermis, where cellulite can develop. The thickness of each layer will differ from person to person.

Hormones affect Cellulite Formation

The storage of fat has been proven to be altered with changes in hormone levels. Cellulite is, for the most part, found in women during hormonal changes such as puberty, pregnancy, menopause, and while taking birth control pills.

A woman's hormones responsible for the regulating blood flow, fat storage, connective tissue and lymphatic drainage. When this is altered by hormonal changes, a woman becomes susceptible to cellulite formation. Another factor that may influence cellulite formation is if the person has a family history of cellulite or if they have poor diet and exercise habits. This common condition can be treated with natural skin care products that regenerate skin and strengthen the connective tissues responsible for skin's elasticity. There are so many cellulite remedies out there that it's hard to decide which to try.

However, here's something to keep in mind. The best and most effective anti cellulite cream is capable of inhibiting fat storage and eliminating excess fat deposits in areas prone to cellulite formation. This can only be achieved with products containing natural ingredients.

If you have 'problem skin', there is a natural cellulite cream and stretch marks treatment that contain a key ingredient that helps prevent cellulite and eliminate stretch marks. Other products may promise to eliminate cellulite but this natural product can finally break the cellulite curse and rebuild a sexier, slimmer, and more toned skin.
